I’ve been using Relay for almost 6 months now, and to me, Relay is more than just an app. It feels like a real community of people who understand my struggle, with a team behind it that genuinely cares about my recovery journey. I’ve battled unwanted addiction for 20 years. I’ve considered traditional therapy, but it’s just not in my budget. Thanks to Relay, I’ve gone from daily struggles to now a 40-day streak—it feels amazing!

This app has been HUGE in my recovery journey. It helped me find community, hope, and the resources I needed to finally find healing from my addiction. If you are struggling with pornography and want help, please, please, please give Relay a chance. It has changed my life.

I'm not always great at sharing my wins, but as September ends tomorrow I want to share one little data point I'm proud of: In January, I had 3 sober days. I tracked my addiction in my planner. I hated myself for it. In September, I've had only 3 days of acting out. It's the complete inverse of where I was in that dark time 9 months ago. Thank you everyone for sharing your journeys here. Thank you for the support. I read about Relay in a news article a couple of weeks ago at the absolute lowest point in my addiction. I appreciate you reaching out:) This has been amazing for me. I do just relapse the day after 14 days. But, these last 2 months have been really shifting things internally. I’m not as concerned how many days I go without as I am concerned with helping my body and mind out by giving it something consistently to cope in healthy way. First of all, I have to say that I never tried anything like this program before and I was really amazed by its way of defeating the addiction. The social factor is really powerful, I like expecially my team, which has been really active and supportive over the last two weeks. We are all helping out on each other and keeping up the motivation! This gives me a drive that I never had before in my journey to sobriety and I am really grateful for it. Mann this is amazing dude. Relay is 100% effective as a life changing tool for anyone that truly wants a change in their life, I believe that whole heartedly. It's a tool I wish everyone who is struggling knew existed. I wouldn't be where I am today in my marriage or mental health without relay. I highly recommend. I have tried a few different groups now. I have tried many things to help in my recovery. This app and community are already game changing. I am listing my boundaries instead of just what I want to avoid. I am listing and achieving self care goals on the daily. I love it.

A little too good. I recommend especially as a Christian. I promise if you have tried for years. It is worth it. It pokes at wounds you didnt know that you had.

Getting back to you on my experience using the Flag feature in Relay. I've thrown a flag a few times now and each time, it has been very helpful, getting me out of my head and connecting with the other members of my group. Just the act of throwing the flag, after going through the calming exercises in the app, has helped me feel that I'm not alone. And getting responses back from my team has been a game-changer for me in overcoming this addiction. A couple of times, I was working at my desk in my home office and hitting the limits of my ability to concentrate without a break. In the past, this situation had a high chance of leading to a relapse. Hitting the panic button and throwing a flag in Relay made all the difference in getting me to slow down, take a break, and be kind to myself instead of doing something that would ultimately leave me feeling worse. Now, I'm better able to see my limits coming up before hitting that wall, and to give myself a break before resuming work. Thanks for all you do, Chandler. I've used several other addiction apps as well as habit trackers to try to defeat this addiction, and, in my experience, only Relay has the winning combination of outstanding content by a qualified professional helping me get at the root cause of my addition, and collaboration tools and community with others who are serious about overcoming their own struggles while helping others do the same. I'm honestly loving the program so far. I feel like having this community is helping me but not only myself but also other members on my team. I make consistent use of the red flag function. The UI makes it easy to do so.

I'm hesitant and feeling a whole lot of loneliness and shame going into this programme. It's been a tough few years but I am hopeful that being part of this community, building new habits, and having more accountability will help me recover and mend my relationship.

Dr. Hochman explained this so well! I feel like I finally understand clearly the cycle of addiction and how it began. My whole life I've felt like I was running away from something, but I wasn't sure what it was. Turns out I am running from something and I'n going to find the source of that pain and stop running away.

I've been working through the weekly modules and I feel that they are helping me immensely. I would say it had a bigger positive impact than in-person therapy I had been attending before. I just struggle to find the time to meditate, but even the few guided meditations I had done before were really productive and I'm looking forward to continuing the work in the ifs program. After years of facing this addiction and trying to fight it off, I would say that this program is not only the most effective one I have tried but it's also the best one for me. I enjoy how every single step I take in each lesson makes me feel that I accomplished something and that makes me want to continue and strive to do better than I have been. It's only been a couple of days and I already see a dramatic improvement in myself as a person and as a boyfriend to my loving girlfriend. I'm noticing this self-talk a lot more now, thanks to these lessons. It's important for me to really hear the compassionate voice after the bully. That's the one that calms me and reassures me, and helps me stay sober.

To anyone not using the "log an urge" tool in the app, I HIGHLY recommend it! It's seriously helped me so much to normalize urges and not panic when they come. Like learning to surf in real life, I think it's still something that requires practice and patience to master. But everyone should definitely take advantage of the fact that we have these tools here just one tap away!

What a great concept to provide a way to connect with others struggling to overcome similar challenges in an app that keeps you accountable and motivated to keep fighting the good fight. I like how it prompts me to recognize what is helping or hurting my progress - the things I spend my time on, my emotional health, and so on. I find myself becoming more aware of those things throughout my day and noticing how I can improve.

This is a great app to help connect people struggling with sexual self mastery this app has great features to help hold you accountable I love that you can use the chat feature to reach out for help from others using the app overall I would definitely recommend this to anyone who's struggling thank you for developing this app it's a blessing

I've been looking for something like this for a long time, highly recommend Relay to help you in your self-mastery quest!

As a runner I've ran plenty of Relays. A relay race is a race ran by 4 people in which the final time comes from the entire team working together with each individual in the races time equally important. It's a personal and a team race. This app works the same way, everyone has there personal goals that they are trying to accomplish but work together as a team to help, remind, and be there if a teammate gets “injured” or is struggling. Each tries to do their best while helping the team do their best. Though the race is hard, it must be done together! This app helped me keep track, remember and stay motivated in my goals. If your even questioning if you should or not the answer is yes. Go Fight Win

100% recommend this if you truly want to stop an addiction (smoking, porn viewing, gambling, etc). I have been using this app and I am free of my addiction for almost a month (and for upcoming years and years!)I have an amazing group of people who are struggling the same problem for years. Sharing my addiction triggers and hearing their encouragement/advices is really a huge help, especially when I'm about to cave in. The app also contains a journal to help track of your current feelings or urges and an accountability feature that helps you track your teammates' progress:)

I've used covenant eyes in the past, which was pretty useful, and then just the normal Apple settings which are really easy to get around. But I like the relay capabilities a lot more, like how I can't open some apps unless I turn on monitoring, it helps hold me accountable a lot better. I like the cooldown timer too! Covenant eyes essentially takes random screenshots periodically and analyzes them, then sends them to an accountability partner. And tends to flag just nudity. I like how relay is more nuanced!

I randomly came across this app a few months ago and downloaded it in hopes that I could finally end my porn addiction. I had tried to stop watching porn a million times it felt like, but I kept relapsing and relapsing. Now, I've been clean for over 10 weeks. I feel so proud of myself. I 100% recommend this app to anyone trying to stop watching porn. It will help you be accountable for your porn usage and to be surrounded by people who understand the struggle and are also fighting.

For months I’d been going at this alone and relying on my own trial and error for recovery or solutions from my therapist with limited results. With Relay and the live meetings you’re getting solutions and ideas that are based on the collective knowledge and experience of many. It’s real people who are working through the exact same thing as you, and you get to use all the pitfalls and successes they’ve experienced and apply it to your recovery. In learning we teach and in teaching we learn… that’s what Relay’s live sessions provide; a real way to connect, learn, and teach. That’s what made just the two live meetings I’ve attended more valuable than all the individual therapy sessions I’ve had in the last 7 months of my recovery journey combined.

It is a good feeling to be over a month now. I have never gone so far for over 25 years. The self care checklist is very helpful for me. The sharing in my group(s) and within my inner circle have been healing as well. I notice more confidence. Suddenly, I experience more discipline to stick to the plan. But I also know that there is still a long way to go. There were some close calls when I slipped a boundary and was in emotional pain. I keep reminding myself that I need to stay focused. This is what I hope to be the turning point of my journey. I’ve struggled my porn/sexual addiction for most of my life. It’s 2026, I’ll be 36 in august. The best way I can describe my urges is a silent song that I cannot say no to. My sex drive has lead to resentment in relationships, disconnection, and distrust. I hope that through Relay, I can finally hit the reset button on my life with nothing to hold me down.

Thanks for reaching out, I appreciate it quite a lot. So far, things are going well. I have relapsed a couple times myself when starting, but I keep coming back. So far my best was a whole week, which is great because I almost never go that long! But I am learning over time that recovery is not a race. It is a process. One thing that I am learning is that it is important to stay in touch with the team, as not doing so seems to slow their recovery a bit. Thanks for making those start up videos for when I was getting started, those were great. Ultimately I believe that as long as I keep coming back, I will recover. There are so many things that have made a big improvement for me over the past year. 1) Bringing things into the light and not being judged by others (I'm worthy) 2) Understanding my emotions, learning about past trauma wounds, and regulating my nervous system (I wasn't born this way) 3) Getting serious about my 3 circles, watching "game tape" when I slip, and updating my plan to build a process to care for myself and make better choices. (There is hope) The app and group has been instrumental for me in making real strides toward sobriety. Without the app I wouldn't be able to reflect as much and track my progress as well. It's been huge for me personally. Like anything else it's only as good as your personal effort/system that is based on what's important to you. I wish others in my group would go deeper into their safety plan, but I have to remember it took me a year (plus a lifetime) to get to where I'm at today.

Relay is not just an app, it's a community. That community becomes vital to a life of peace at a certain point. I've been missing it and found out the hard way that it's a community that isn't just something I need, but something I want.

3 weeks on relay app , I wanted to tell you that if you want to get better then this app is the best , the features they provide are so good and helpful to me. If you join this app then I encourage you to watch dr hochman lessons on daily basis and atleast join once in a week live meetings , if you ever feel trigger and urgese then reach out to your support team. Things are going really well! Switching to a group were people are active beyond two or three has been crucial. Especially having one friend go above and beyond and we set up a zoom call to meet each other after our first phone call. I'm finding connections beyond just the surface have been huge. And I feel like I've been able to be there as well for my old group. I'm really enjoying the podcast and the therapy videos with the journaling. Having points to process and ground myself has been super helpful. This is the healthiest I've felt in a really long time. Beyond sobriety I feel like I'm recovering who I really am. Thank you! It would be nice to continue to help the group engage with each other to build relationships beyond just anonymous recovery. I'm finding that the more I get to know my group beyond just did you check the boxes today or didn't you that we can also learn the skills of building meaningful connections. Maybe that's a lesson later on. Thank you again!

I went through a couple other programs and by far, second to none, this one is promising--the thoroughly and professional, psychology-backed videos with great encouragment/advice for unveiling discussions, and features like the Urge module make this platform the best I could have imagined. I’m hopeful and trusting of this program and am determined to make lasting changes in my life through developing my new identity as a man of integrity, purity, and on a journey of continual self-mastery.

I really love the Wednesday meetings, you guys are all so supportive! I attended a different group before I found Relay and while it was still good talking about how I was, it wasn't set up in a way to allow you to respond to each other. I love this program how it focuses on what can go right in my life and not just what is going wrong. It gives me tools to thrive by overcoming my problematic behavior and not just survive battling it. I participated in a 25 hour mountain bike relay race this weekend w some friends. It was grueling and kicked my butt. However, it gave me time to think about the importance of team work in accomplishing tough things. I thought about haw grateful I am to have this relay crew on my team for recovery. It changes everything to have a group of men who are trying to become better through honesty and integrity. Thx for letting me be apart of this team.

As a long time graduate of this program, I can definitely testify that it works. Although the same tools have always worked for me, I've had to evolve and adapt and sometimes stumble and fall along the way. But I can confidently say I'm at a place now where I'm once again winning battles, and it's completely different from the way I was winning battles when I first started the program.

For me, this may be the most important lesson so far. My biggest breakthrough in recovery was the life-changing moment that I realized that I didn't actually NEED to give into my sexual desires. Just because my cravings were bullying me around did not mean that I had to listen to them! Good stuff!

Because innately one way or another, we know the pain and the hurt needs to be dealt with. Maybe we don't always know how. But we eventually understand that the unhealthy addiction isn't the answer. That's what makes this recovery process that's on relay so exciting. Actually learning about addiction. And actually connecting with others. And actually learning and implementing recovery and health habits. It's a beautiful thing.

Super helpful app. Adds a solid sense of community to an issue that is usually dealt with alone. Still allows you to have privacy, while getting support from those around you. I would recommend this for anyone that is struggling with pornography on any level.

I've been going longer than I normally do with my issues and have amazing group for it and love how having more self care and awareness and community drown out the unwanted behaviors.

I love everything about this app. They go above and beyond to get help you get to the root of your issue and beat it! The app is user friendly and looks fantastic also.

Knowing there’s people out there going through the same issues who I can talk to, get help from, and give help back to, makes this healing process feel safe and rewarding. Face to face personal connection is great, but being able to get on Relay and talk with guys going through very similar issues has been the difference between giving up and keeping at it for me.

Relay honestly feels like the piece that was missing from my recovery. I've made it to two weeks a couple times before, maybe 3 or 4? But this by far the easiest it's ever been. I've been putting a lot of work into myself the past couple months, and I feel like it's finally starting to pay off. Hochman's lessons are great and knowing I have a team I can always fall back on, at any time, has been a game changer. Seeing both their successes and setbacks is motivating to keep trucking. Loved the live session I showed up to as well! This sounds like review fluff but seriously, I've been impressed and am grateful to have found Relay. Maybe the most important part of the app is how it doesn't overfocus on the streak. Like, I didn't realize I was about to hit 2 weeks until last night. The streak of sobriety is genuinely the starting point and almost an afterthought, because if you keep up your self-care and stay vigilant about urges, it'll come naturally. This app has been incredible for my progress with addiction. The price seemed a lot to me but it's worth it. The group features and helpful lessons have helped me so much to make real change and find hope in my struggles. I've tried lots of apps before but nothing has worked as well as Relay. In recent months i have doing great with my recovery, working closely with my therapist and psychiatrist. I've learned methods and techniques to deal with the reasons and feelings that caused my addiction and kept me going back to it. Relay was a huge launching pad for the process of my recovery and I am grateful for it, you and your team. I know if things change and I fall back into my old ways you and Relay will be there to helo me get back on track, but at this point I feel confident in where I am in my recovery. Thanks for the email and also the personal input from yourself into the program and our personal road to recovery. 2 weeks in I honestly feel a massive difference. I know that I've only scratched the surface and I'm near the end of the first section of lessons but everything has already clearly showed me things I have been neglecting and things I didn't understand or ever even thought of, such as pain being the root of my addiction. I also really really like the daily check-ins as the 'reps' have helped me start to instill a healthy discipline in my life that I've never had. Thanks again for putting this together Regards

I haven't been keeping up with the lessons a lot. But the sense of having a larger community of men who all know my struggle has given me a bigger drive and discipline to stay sober from porn and masturbation. I have been growing closer to Jesus during this process and it is inspiring me to make my own videos on the bible, jesus, health/fitness, etc. The most difficult part has been getting myself to do my own self care routine which includes the lessons. Thank you so much for this opportunity. I have not been this peaceful and driven in my life and feel a real sense of change coming onto me. And yes you are right, procrastination never works very well haha.

Just started relay. I am really excited to start this journey. I celebrate 13 years off alcohol this Sept 2. So I know that these things can be done. I'm excited to work the program that is being laid out for us here in relay. I'm grateful to be here

Relay has provided a source of constant encouragement and sense of community that no other program I've seen can do!

I'm actually crying because this is how it's felt for so long. An endless cycle of avoidance after the addiction began.

As I have paid more attention to my self care and boundaries I am feeling a shift in my focus. I used to just check the boundaries and self care off without a thought. I defined success as whether I acted out and was abstinent or not. My focus on that one single metric was unhealthy. It's the goal but it's not indicative of my overall health in this process. I am proud of my days of sobriety but I love Relays holistic approach to good healthy habits that are the true measure of success. I am celebrating each day that I conscientiously consider my boundaries and self care for the day. It is putting me in such a healthy mindset. That to me is such a valuable reward.

This is the best app I have found. I tried doing my own journal similar to this but haven't succeeded. It's also nice to know I'm not alone and other people are struggling as much as I am. And that there is hope. Hearing how other people set a plan helps me set my plan when things don't work out.

"Be kind to yourself." That is a powerful loaded sentence. I feel like I need to start saying that out loud when pressure starts coming in on me. In the depth of my addiction I am not kind to myself or others.

I am learning that much of recovery is about learning— re learning, new habits that have to be practiced over and over, putting in the reps. So, the bully comes back - tell him off. The doubt comes back - find confidence and belief. The loneliness and hurt comes back - turn to friends and healthy choices. Old habits are so locked in, so easy, so automatic, so "successful" that it's hard to break them.

This app is such an inspired idea! I love how it creates support and accountability for those struggling to overcome pornography use. It is well designed and builds an important connection with others who have similar struggles and desires to overcome. This app provides a much needed piece for recovery and could be a game changer for so many. Thanks for creating this powerful tool!

I recently saw and ad on the App Store and decided to give it a shot. I was rather sceptical at first, but figured why not. I've never been able to reach out for help out of pure embarrassment, but, this makes it feel easier! My group wasn't very active , as it was a new group, so I requested to be in a second group so I could have more people to talk to. Not only did that request get answered, but, the creator of the app personally texted me to check up on me, and had a full conversation with me! This community feels super genuine, and I 100% recommended this!

Incredibly helpful for personal growth and recovery on so many levels. 1. Accountability: This app provides structure for accountability to self and others in several domains including regular emotional “pulse checks”, goal tracking, recovery tracking (for whatever you define as recovery), and regular connection to a group. 2. Consistency: I struggle with consistently pursuing goals & values of mine, and this app has helped me be more regular and consistent. 3. Connection: Being part of a group has been helpful because others can see how you are doing (to an extent, the developers are very clear about privacy). Overall, I would recommend this app to anyone, even if they are not struggling with an addiction. It is just an amazing resource for anyone committed to personal growth.

Relay is a total game changer for anyone looking for support, overcoming addictions, or to purely work on self improvement. I personally wanted to change my life and really didn't know where to start. Improvement starts with support. Being with people that share the same experiences is a one of a kind experience. Relay uses a unique circle approach, where you can custom design your goals and how you want to attain them. Interacting with your group has to be hands down one of the biggest steps towards bettering yourself. The friendships you make with one another are important for me as I found it has helped me make sense of my shortcomings. You cannot put a price tag on this platform. What you truly get out of it just from the experience alone, pays for itself. Relay's support team is always looking out for you not just from a platform perspective, but from a personal one as well. I would highly recommend trying out the live meetings on Relay. For me, it's very motivating and helps me reaffirm my commitment and make connections to others so I can share my story and also hear theirs.

I've been struggling with this habit since I was 16 and I've tried so many things but with this app, the pulse checks, and the support from my group I have been able to be sober for a while!! 🙂
